3.10 ADOPTION SUPPORT LEAVE AND PAY
(a) An officer who is the spouse or partner (including civil partner) of an adoptive parent is entitled to be granted two weeks’ adoption support leave at or around the time of adoption. The first week will be at full pay. Where an officer has served continuously for a period of at least 26 weeks by the end of the notification week they are entitled to the second week at statutory rates.
(b) Partner means the person who lives with the adoptive parent and child in an enduring family relationship but is not a relative of the adoptive parent.
