2.6 REQUIRED TO WORK ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY

Annex 8

(a) Compensation for public holiday working applies to acting inspectors as well as constables and sergeants.  Temporary inspectors, inspectors and chief inspectors are entitled to another rest day.  Part-time workers are not required to work 40 hours per week before being compensated for working on a public holiday.

(b) To help determine where days start and end it is important to note that the force day starts at 0700 unless otherwise determined by the chief constable.
