(a) Police Officer pay is negotiated through the PNBS and ratified by Scottish Ministers.  The following allowances are uprated in line with pay increases:

  • Dog Handlers
  • Plain Clothes
  • On-call
  • Excessive Rest Day Disruption
  • Overnight Disruption
  • Additional Disruption
  • Minimum Standards (of Accommodation)
  • Short Notice Rest Day Working Allowance
  • Islands Allowance

(b) The latest pay agreement and pay scales are published in the PNBS Circulars above.
