4.5 DOG HANDLER’S ALLOWANCE
(a) As dog handler’s look after their dog on their rest days and public holidays they are entitled to a Dog Handler’s Allowance.
(b) Where an officer keeps and cares for more than one police dog, they will receive an additional 25% of the allowance for each additional dog. For the current rate of the allowance (see section 4.12).
(c) Where dog handlers transport their dog(s) and are not provided with a police vehicle, they are entitled to Essential User’s Allowance.
