3.3 PUBLIC HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT
(a) Public Holidays for officers are 1 January and 25 December.
(b) Officers may nominate other days in place of one or both of these days for religious or cultural reasons.
(c) The public holiday day starts at 0700 and compensation for working on a public holiday is outlined at section 2.6.
(d) Where a public holiday falls on the same date as a rest day, the public holiday will take precedence and the rest day will require to be moved to a separate date.
(e) Where a one-off, fixed public holiday is agreed for a specific reason,this will not be subject to individual nomination to a different date for religious or cultural reasons.
