5.9 EXPENSES INCURRED DUE TO RECALL FROM ANNUAL LEAVE
When an officer is recalled to duty during annual leave the following allowances will be granted where they are necessary, reasonable and backed by a receipt (where possible):
- Travelling expenses.
- Food and drink expenses.
- Expenditure over and above the allowances covered above necessarily incurred on food and lodging in rare cases where the police officer’s house is closed during the absence of his family on holiday.
- Any charges made at the holiday place for accommodation or food in respect of periods during which the police officer was absent from that place, provided they show that they have taken all possible steps to avoid the expenditure.
