3.6 ANTE NATAL APPOINTMENTS
(a) Officers are entitled to time off with pay to keep appointments for ante natal care made on the advice of their GP, Midwife or health visitor.
(b) After the first appointment the officer should provide, on request, an appointment card or some other document showing that an appointment has been made.
(c) Prospective fathers/partners are able to take unpaid time off to attend up to two antenatal appointments. For periods of unpaid leave refer to section 3.15 in relation to entitlement for pension purposes.
